ANTIQUE  CUT-UNDER  WICKER BASKET  SEAT  PONY  PHAETON

Body painted black with wicker seat Varnished in dark stain. Dash with cutouts and steps with rubber pads.

Wheels and gear painted in deep red russet with single narrow black pinstripe.  Elliptical springs.

Trim in beige corduroy with muffin pattern to seat and double roll on lazy back.

Accessories include shafts, a pair of antique brass lamps, a black floor rug and waterproof covers for carriage and shafts.

The maker has been established, with reasonable certainty, to be the Gregg Carriage Company, Philadelphia, Model No. 605, circa 1885.

This carriage is in excellent condition, needs no work and is ready for the show ring.
