Absolute Morgan Farm Clinic Series
The sport of carriage driving is structured to welcome drivers and horses of all abilities. Driving is especially inviting at the entry level, as the basic skills are fairly simple to understand and are readily acquired. The carriage horse performs in several venues -- speeding through the hazards of a combined driving event, performing a precise dressage test or demonstrating elegance in a working pleasure driving class. The camaraderie and helpful attitude among carriage driving enthusiasts is frequently noted by those new to the sport, which helps set it apart from other equine competitions. Carriage driving is one of the fastest growing equine sports, and is well suited to "baby-boomer" couples who want to get into horses. Absolute Morgans is located on Schoolhouse Road, just off of Green Street, three miles south of Vergennes, VT. The farm is 17 miles from the Crown Point Bridge to New York and eight miles north of Middlebury. There is an indoor arena, outdoor ring and fields for schooling, ample parking and limited stabling at $10 per day is available for visiting horses. |
